RESOURCES

The Corey’s Peaceful Heart project features resources that encourage social-emotional development in young children.  Featured skills include such benefits as reducing stress, managing feelings, practicing empathy, making friends, and supporting learning.

These resources are designed to support parents, teachers, and carers, as they incorporate the shift and shine technique into children’s lives at home and at school.  Shift and Shine contributes to children’s social and emotional development.

Benefits of Shift and Shine Technique ®

Corey’s Peaceful Heart introduces children to HeartMath’s coherence tool for children ages 3-6, called the Shift and Shine Technique®.  Shift and shine is a simple three step process that allows shift from stress to the calm and ease found in their own peaceful hearts.  When practiced daily, HeartMath’s research has shown the following benefits:

♥ Manage stress
♥ Engage in socially accepted behavior
♥ Manage emotions
♥ Improve their outlook, self-image, sense of security
♥ Strengthen expression of positive feelings
♥ Improve impulse control
♥ Improve relationships with family and friends
♥ Increase learner readiness for school

The Sunshine Secret

A new e-Learning Game for children ages 3-6 that features the wonderful story and transformative adventures of Gloria the glowworm and Leon the chameleon. As children follow the wonderful story of Gloria the glowworm and Leon the Chameleon’s delightful world in the forest, they must complete support activities that encourage positive emotional outcomes. This is a fun way children can learn about their emotions, and you can feel good about giving children screen time.

Wild Ride to the Heart Game

Wild Ride is especially designed to teach children about recognizing, expressing and balancing their emotions. The game incorporates HeartMath’s nearly two decades of scientific research and field studies into the physiology of emotions and the intelligence of the heart. For those who are lucky, the journey to the finish will be smooth, but chances are they’ll have a Wild Ride as they make funny faces, tell stories and have lots of fun. It’s good for the heart.
